Project Management

The new building project management includes working out functional specifications, technical discussions with shipyards, assisting in contract negotiations, drawing approval and on-site supervision. The new building supervision team consist of :

  • Former shipyard staff;
  • Naval architects and marine engineers;
  • Mechanical and electrical engineers;
  • Senior ship staff
  • Steel/outfitting foremen
  • Drawing, specification and contract review

The review and approval of the building specification is the most critical stage for the preparation of the project and should be thoroughly reviewed prior to contract signing.

GPL  review these documents and particular clauses with respect to precise wording in order to identify and avoid potential negative consequences arising during the construction phase.

GPL thoroughly check key drawings and manuals, load calculations, working plans and relevant technical data submitted by the shipbuilder and as agreed in the shipbuilding contract.

Supervision of Construction

Supervision and inspection of the construction throught until the completion , sea trials and delivery of vessel are done  by GPL Ship management on  behalf of the owner and end user

Quality control and HSE management

Quality control and HSE policies are implemented during the complete process.

Second Hand Tonnage

GPL are highly experienced in the sale and purchase markets for  second hand tonnage and marine – offshore – dredging equipment
